Transparent moment: I had a full circle moment this Rising as I was doing my daily Rising check-in with myself. Spirit brought back to my memory when I was 19. I had just had oldest daughter, and my old caseworker called me to ask if I would speak to and encourage some young moms who were getting ready to age out of the system because she felt like I could reach them.
When I was 18, I hit the ground running to build a better life for myself and my daughter while pregnant. I told her I couldn't do that because I didn't have the words to say or I didn't even know what I was doing.
She told me then that I had a way with words that inspired people. I never understood it back then, but I do now. I have helped so many people heal through my words.
I just recently had someone give me the nastiest look the first day they met me. (If looks could kill). By the second day, they were hugging me, crying, and thanking me.
Sometimes people see your gifts, your light before you do.
I want to remind you that we all have gifts and a purpose. Finding yours can change your life, you never know who is waiting on your help.
